The heat is on will you be a RED HOT hero?

Winstons Wish, the charity for bereaved children, is all fired up over its firewalk taking place in Gloucestershire on Saturday, February 11.

The charity is looking for red hot heroes to walk over hot coals and join this unique and inspiring event taking place at Brickhampton Court Golf Complex on Saturday, February 11 at 7pm.

2012 is the 20th anniversary year for Winstons Wish and the charity is hoping to raise 20,000 from this event. All participants will receive a thorough two hour training session where they will be offered the courage and skills needed to release fears and embark safely on this motivating and exhilarating challenge. The firewalk is being led by a team of experienced and highly skilled professionals from Blaze firewalking, who will ensure the event is safe and successful.

Winstons Wish Chief Executive Fiona Talwar-Lomberg has already signed up and will be joining the rest of the firewalk team. When asked about the red hot challenge Fiona said I was a little nervous at first but after speaking with families at our annual Christmas gathering and hearing about the difficult challenges they face, I thought this would be an ideal way for me to raise funds to allow Winstons Wish to help even more bereaved children and young people.

The event is an exclusive challenge and participants are invited to bring along friends and family to witness them embarking on this once in a life time challenge.

Speaking about the event Sally Davies, Regional Fundraising and Events Manager for Winstons Wish says, We already have 30 heroes signed up but to meet our target of 20,000 we need more people. Why not join the other brave soles at this night to remember and create a memory that will make you proud for years to come!

A 50 non-refundable deposit upon registration secures your place in the event and a minimum sponsorship or donation of 150 is needed to take part. To sign up today and bag your place please visit
