Archant

Keep that rubber on the road with a motivational refuel at one of these top cycling cafés in the Cotswolds.

Veloton, Tetbury

Caffeine and cycling go hand-in-hand at this cosy café and bike shop where the motto is very much ‘coffee makes the wheels go round’. There are lots of tasty homemade cakes on offer and top notch Americanos made by staff with a passion for all things bike related. It’s the perfect pitstop for the two-wheeled enthusiast.

Morris & Brown Café, Broadway

With lots of comfortable seating and a roaring log fire, Morris & Brown is a relaxing place to saddle down with a hazelnut hot chocolate or mouth-watering gourmet panini. Take an hour to refuel and enjoy the breathtaking views from the tower that you have worked so hard to reach.

Café de la Post, Chadlington

This café is renowned with cyclists across the Cotswolds for its quick yet friendly service, chilled water ready to go in the fridge and plenty of nearby space to park bikes. Unwind for an hour in the beautiful village of Chadlington with a delicious breakfast or afternoon tea.

Chedworth Farm Shop

Are you looking for some extra motivation to keep pushing those pedals? Then park up at Chedworth Farm Shop’s café for local and freshly made food. From build-your-own breakfasts to cheese toasties and jacket potatoes, there is something to suit all budgets and tastes. Sit down, warm up and spend an hour grazing with a complimentary newspaper.

Abbey Tea Rooms, Tewkesbury

Whilst cycling through Tewkesbury, take a trip down memory lane with a stop at this quintessential tea shop found opposite the Abbey. Every inch of the room is covered in memorabilia so there’s plenty to get you talking whilst you refill on scones with cream and jam and a pot of hot tea.

Cacao Bean, Moreton-in-Marsh

From the minute you dismount your bicycle and walk through the doors of Cacao Bean you’ll receive a very warm welcome from experienced owner Silke Bruening and her staff. They are willing to go the extra mile for customers in need of hot coffee and something sweet, so take your pick from a menu full of hand-made chocolates and truffles, and delicious cocoa pastries.

Sitting comfortably? Then you’ve got plenty of time to read about the most scrumptious afternoon teas to be found in the Cotswolds.
