Lakefest expands to three days and moves to August in the festival calendar this year.

The festival with camping takes place from Friday, August 9 until Sunday, August 11 2013 at Croft Farm Waterpark, nr Tewkesbury, in Gloucestershire. The organisers are keen to remain friendly and non-corporate without sacrificing first class facilities and entertainment.

It promises to be a fine weekend with headlining acts OCEAN COLOUR SCENE, LEVELLERS and ‘rude boys’ ‘THE BEAT’. As well as the great musical line-up which also includes the likes of CHAS & DAVE, there’s a heap of entertainment for all to enjoy including for the first time, the ‘Croft Farm’s Fireworks Spectacular’.

The festival aims to be friendly, keeping true to its slightly hippie West Country roots with a mix of beers, ciders and lagers from around the county. There will be plenty on offer for children too and the Leisure and Water Park are available to festival goers whilst they are there.

Highlights include a great festival line-up, a laser display on the lake, street entertainers, arts and crafts workshops and of course the rinky dinks. The bands selected are folky but also have the ability to really get people up dancing.

The festival has been built on an open approach with a sense that everyone counts. Too many festivals these days have become generic and sterile. There aren’t many festivals where the organisers publish their mobile telephone numbers on the website and are available for all to call whenever. Hence the organisers never want to grow their festival beyond 5,000 people. They are keen to attract nice people who appreciate the smaller things in life.

An ‘Adult Weekender’ (16+) ticket is priced at £79 and ‘Family Weekender’ priced at £190. A family ticket is for two adults and up to two children aged 15 or under. For larger families, additional child tickets will be available. A live-in vehicle is priced at £30. Children aged 10 and under are free and don’t require a ticket.

Tickets are available online from: http://lakefest.co.uk/ and also from Croft Farm Waterpark (cash/cheque only). Please call the ticket info-line on 07585 180723 to arrange.
