Who are Brodie Manning?

Brodie Manning Limited is a specialist planning, design and development consultancy that offers a professional and personalised service to assist clients to realise their development aspirations.

From small beginnings, the company is now established as a busy practice with a portfolio of notable work.

The Directors, Wendy and Richard, along with the Brodie Manning team, offer a complete development package; from initial planning and design guidance through to project completion. We deal with a full range of development schemes, from household to large scale residential and commercial.

Our customers range from house owners wishing to extend and develop their properties to PLC’s involved in large scale development. We also act on behalf of Parish Councils, local community groups and local planning authorities.

Being ‘native’ to the Cotswolds, we have in-depth knowledge of the locality and understand the strong local vernacular.

What are the benefits of using a chartered planning consultancy?

Membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute is an internationally recognised mark of expertise. Chartered planning consultancies are able to give professional, impartial advice and an independent approach to often controversial planning issues.

What Brodie Manning can offer our clients?

We are able to assess site development opportunities; produce site development briefs; promote land through the Local Plan process; prepare and submit planning applications; produce architectural drawings; represent clients during the application process in negotiations with the Local Planning Authority, discussing proposals with relevant bodies and interested parties; represent applicants at Committee; and the appeal process.

Our architectural services include planning and technical drawing packages; measured building surveys; and we offer lifetime homes compliance and Housing Quality Indicator Assessments. Our planning drawing packages can include concept images to allow visual appreciation of any development scheme – bringing design ideas to life!

What motivates us?

The enthusiasm generated by our clients when a project reaches completion.

The practice has been responsible for a range of prestigious developments including sympathetic works to properties throughout Gloucestershire and further afield.

Recently completed projects include: a rural worker’s home in the Cotswolds, extension to commercial cider maker’s barn, small residential development of 8 houses, a single dwelling in Worcestershire, new equestrian stabling, a number of extensions and alterations to private homes, technical packages for bespoke apartments for a national house builder and an outline planning permission for 22 new homes at Sparkwell Golf Course, Devon.

If you are interested in the service we provide we would be pleased to hear from you. Call us on 01242 898368 or email
