Gloucestershire County Cricket Club is one of 18 first class county cricket clubs in the Country with a successful win rate on 9 trophies in 9 years. Each season the 1st team play approximately 45 days of home cricket, which covers 4 day cricket (LVCC), a 50 over Friends Provident Tournament, a NatWest Pro40 tournament and the highly supported Twent20 cup. Every year at the end of July, Gloucestershire take the show on the road and play two weeks of festival cricket at Cheltenham College, Cheltenham.

The club has over 4,000 members and attracts crowds of 6,000 to 8,000 to each of the Twenty20 Cup matches. For the last 10 years The County Ground has been lucky enough to host 10 Internationals which have sold out every year to crowds of over 15,000.

This year the club are also happy to be hosting an Elton John concert on the 13th June 2009.

Curry Corner - Winner of the Cotswold Life Restaurant of the Year 2008, England’s oldest most highly regarded Bangladeshi restaurant, The Curry Corner has quietly redefined the concept of Bangladeshi and Indian food since chef proprietors Shamsul and Saleha Krori first opened their doors in 1977. Daughter Monrusha has beautifully redesigned both interior and menu. Featuring palatial carvings, vintage sari bolsters, object d’arts from the subcontinent this is a wonderfully tucked away retreat. The best of British cooking, everything on the menu is freshly cooked to order with quality local produce, the spices freshly ground and the dishes flavour packed. Highly recommended Sweet and Spicy Honey Chicken, Monkfish in Saffron Cream Curry, real Masala and home churned Bangladeshi ice cream and delicious desserts.
