New Online boutique for lovely gifts and accessories for your home and garden

It was Christmas 2009 when Marlborough entrepreneur, Matthew Thomas, was looking to diversify his existing business, Marlborough Rug Company (www.marlboroughrugs.co.uk) at that time an independent family run Oriental rug and interiors shop on Marlboroughs prestigious high street. The idea for Thomas Blue & Co was born out of increasing inquiries from customers to buy some of the accessories online so Matthew decided to embrace the ever growing reach the Internet presented for online shopping and from there Thomas Blue & Co was created.

Described by Matthew as an online lifestyle store for home and garden gifts and accessories, he goes onto say Our ambition at Thomas Blue & Co is to offer a great shopping experience, supply good quality, desirable products at affordable prices coupled with speedy delivery and first rate customer service, whether our customers are shopping online or at one of our events. Thomas Blue & Co is constantly evolving and growing, mostly sourcing their own products but they are also very interested to hear from local makers, producers or retailers who feel they have great products and who want to join forces and promote their business to Thomas Blues customers.

As well as the web store, Matthew & Co hit the road to promote the business at a range of events during the year which gives them the opportunity to meet and talk to their customers face to face and have a bit of fun at the same time, depending on the weather! They are also planning to develop into the home party market, so if you fancy getting some friends together for a few drinks and think they will like some of the goodies get in touch with Matthew.

The website has been going for about a year now, with initial plans to grow organically, allowing time to test the market both online and at the fairs and events they have attended. You may have seen them a variety of different fairs; earlier this year they were at the Marlborough Spring Fair. They have just been to the Gloucestershire Festival of Polo and later this month they will be at the Wiltshire Show at the Barbary International Horse Trials near Marlborough. Matthew says they are very excited about this one as its their biggest event to date and will have all sorts of offers on so they would love to meet customers both new and old. This summers event is just prior to the Olympics and promises to be a fantastic weekend for all.

Whether you can or cant make it to the Wiltshire Show at Barbary, visit www.thomasblue.co.uk
