November in the Cotswolds is jam-packed with events this year. From firework celebrations to Christmas fairs and light switch-ons, there is plenty to do and see.
National Spa Week begins
With close connections to the M5, M40 and M4, and a convenient two hour train journey to London, the Cotswolds are the perfect location for a spa weekend away. Here’s our list of the eight Cotswold spa retreats you need to visit
Get festive at Chipping Campden Recreation Ground with mulled wine and hot chocolate as you watch the fireworks display and warm your hands by the bonfire.
Join Cheltenham Cricket Club for two firework displays, music, food and fairground attractions. For small children, there will be a low noise display earlier on in the evening at 5.45pm. The general fireworks display is at 7.30pm.
Priced at £85 per person, this photography course led by Blenheim’s photographer, will teach you the basic concepts of photography, including controls, exposure and composition. Students are then free to explore the Park and Gardens after the course is complete.
Tewkesbury Bonfire and Fireworks Display
Tewkesbury Vineyard’s annual firework display is taking place on Saturday November 7 from 6.30pm this year. Get down to the playing fields early to secure yourself a great viewing point.
Cheltenham Racecourse will be holding Gloucestershire’s biggest firework display at 7pm. Gates open at 5pm so come along early to enjoy the fairground attractions and children’s entertainment beforehand.

This year’s Gloucester Christmas Parade theme is ‘The Nutcracker’, with the procession beginning at 4.30pm from Kyneburg Tower and finishing at Gloucester Cathedral. The lights will be switched on at 5pm and there will be a carol service at the cathedral.
Visit one of the UK’s best vintage fairs at the Cheltenham Town Hall for your chance to browse vintage clothing, collectables, accessories, home ware, furniture and jewellery dating back from the 1940’s until the 1990’s.
Join Santa for Tewkesbury’s annual Christmas light switch-on. There will also be market stalls, craft stalls and fairground rides.

Christmas Party at The Brewery
Christmas celebrations will begin with a Christmas light switch on where Craig and Ally from The Breeze FM will be hosting a fantastic evening of entertainment. The line-up includes a variety of local performers including young local performers from The Rock Foundry, Dance Works and a very talented choir. Santa will be making an appearance and switching on the lights at about 18:30 and there will be guaranteed snow for everyone to enjoy!
