Actress Lisa Maxwell will lead the Cotswolds Dogs & Cats Home Christmas Carols at Painswick Church on December 10. Lisa along with celebrity friends Denise Welsh, Emma Samms and Ambury Blow will perform readings at the service.

Lisa who is a Patron of the local animal charity said “I am incredibly passionate about this charity and the wonderful work it does supporting the most vulnerable animals in our community. The evening will be a magical candle lit celebration of Christmas and will raise funds towards the Cotswolds Dogs & Cats Home build project which is currently underway just outside of Dursley. I feel incredibly lucky to live in an area that has a strong sense of community and I hope that local people will come out and support the charity and enjoy a great festive evening at the same time.”

Carolyn Blackburn, Chair of the Cotswolds Dogs & Cats Home said: “Christmas is a time we spend feeling safe with family and friends. Sadly this isn’t always the case for animals who are often neglected or abandoned during the festive season. When it is built the Cotswolds Dogs & Cats Home will enable us to ensure that no homeless or vulnerable animal in our community is without a safe place.”

The event starts in Painswick Church at 6pm and as well as Christmas Carols and readings there will be Father Christmas for children up to the age of ten, mince pies and a little festive treat for our well behaved four legged friends who are very welcome to join in.

Tickets can be booked through the CDCH website. For further information contact the CDCH Campaign Office on 01666 504425 or go to www.cdch.org.uk.
