Are you looking for a Norway spruce or a Nordman fir?

Archant

From mini Norway spruces to luxury Nordman firs, here are six of the best places to get a luscious, green tree in the Cotswolds this festive season.

Cotswold Fir
Shurdington-based Cotswold Fir sells a selection of high quality Christmas trees suitable for any family home. They also run a fantastic ‘Rental Claus’ facility, where you can have a tree delivered right to your door or pick up from a local store and you return it after Christmas.

Batsford Arboretum
If you’re looking for a good quality tree to last you through December, Batsford Arboretum is a great place to start. There’s a huge selection of fir trees to choose from with prices starting at £17.99 for a miniature Norway and up to £140 for a luxury Nordman. You can also browse a selection of pretty handmade wreaths alongside Christmas tree lights, unique decorations, holly and mistletoe.

Primrose Vale Farm Shop
Whether you want a little festive tree for your desk at work, or a grand eight foot spruce to lighten up your hallway, Cheltenham-based Primrose Vale have got it covered. Trees are available from late November, with their new ‘Rent a Tree’ service getting booked up quickly.

Miserden Nursery
For almost 20 years, Stroud-based Miserden Nursery have been providing a vast range of traditional and non-needle drop trees perfect for any home. The trees are available for collection from November 26 until December 24, and are all grown in the UK – so they stay that perfect shade of green for just a little while longer. Make sure to have a look at the seasonal plants and luxury wreaths on offer too.

Over Farm
From December 3, there will be plenty of farm-grown Christmas trees to choose from at Over Farm in Gloucester. Whether you’ve only got enough baubles for a tiny Norway spruce, or you’ve got sufficient decorations to cover a towering fir, you’ll be spoilt for choice.

Dowdeswell Forestry
Many Cotswoldians return year upon year to Dowdeswell for their festive evergreens, and with such a lovely selection of high quality trees you can understand why. Dowdeswell are offering free delivery if you order logs too, so you can light the fire whilst you get into the Christmas spirit and decorate your tree.
