Primrose Vale Farm

Shurdington Road, Bentham, Cheltenham, GL51 4UA

Rows upon rows of home grown fruit and vegetables await you at Primrose Vale Farm on Shurdington Road, near Cheltenham’s town centre. From May until September, visitors can pick as many strawberries, raspberries, gooseberries, blackberries, loganberries, among many other fruits, as their punnets can carry! Light refreshments available at Primrose Vale Farm can be enjoyed too.

Need to know: Open June to September (inclusive), Monday to Saturday 9am-6pm, Sunday 10am-5pm (June and July Sunday 9am-6pm). Open October to May (inclusive) Monday to Saturday 9am-5pm, Sunday 10am-4pm

Hayles Fruit Farm

Winchcombe, Cheltenham, GL54 5PB

Spanning roughly 100 acres of beautiful Gloucestershire countryside, and under the Harrell family since the 1950s, Hayles Fruit Farm has seen many changes. Visitors can dine in the farm’s restaurant and dining room ‘The Orchard’,pick up local produce at the farm shop and participate in a plethora of exciting activities including picking fruit! Soft fruits are available to be collected during the summer.

Daylesford Organic Farm

Daylesford, Moreton-in-Marsh, GL65 0YG

The 25 acre organic garden of Daylesford Organic Farm harbours a great array of fruit and vegetables including strawberries, cucumbers, herbs and salad leaves, among many others growing over the year. On Saturday July 8, guests are welcome to visit the farm to pick their own. Lots of fresh, organic fare to take home – sounds good to us!

Need to know: The ‘Pick Your Own in the Market Garden’ event takes places Saturday July 8 from 10am to 4pm. Visitors won’t be charged for entry but for cost per kg of items picked and payment is cash only. Keep up to date with events at Daylesford Organic Farm here.

Over Farm Market

Over, Gloucester, GL2 8DB

There’s plenty for the whole family to enjoy on a visit to Over Farm Market including fruit picking throughout the summer! The huge strawberry and raspberry fields open from June, and as they’re positioned on table tops, it couldn’t be any easier to fill up your basket. After you’ve picked plenty of delicious fruit to tuck into at home, little ones will love a walk along the Farm Trail where lots of friendly animals are waiting to say hello.

Need to know: The Over Farm Market shop opens Monday to Saturday 9am to 6pm, Sunday 9.30am to 5pm

Clive’s Fruit Farm

Upper Hook Road, Upton-upon-Severn, WR8 0SA

Juicy cherries, raspberries and strawberries are in abundance for visitors to pick at Clive’s Fruit Farm, positioned alongside the glorious Malvern Hills. Among many of soft fruits grown, its clear to see a lot of care and passion goes into ensuring visitors take home the tastiest produce. As well as fruit picking, there’s a farm shop and butchers selling home grown and locally sourced produce, farm attractions and a playground to keep little ones entertained.

Need to know: Clive’s Fruit Farm is open Monday to Saturday 9am to 5.30pm and Sundays and Bank Holidays 10am to 4pm. Keep an eye out for fruit at Clive’s Farm available to pick on their website or Facebook page.

Rectory Farm

Stanton St John, Oxford, OX33 1HF

Spanning 45 acres, fields and fields of carefully cared for crops reside at Rectory Farm, just a short drive from Oxford. Home grown produce can be purchased at the Farm Shop and the café, The Tractor Shack, serves up plenty of tasty snacks to enjoy before you explore the pick your own fields. You can find raspberries, blackcurrants, redcurrants and blackberries, as well as plenty of vegetables to get your hands on. They are particularly revered for their delicious asparagus ready to pick in the spring and tasty strawberries available in the summer.

Need to know: Rectory Farm is open daily throughout the summer from 9.30am to 6pm. There’s plenty to keep the whole family entertained including light refreshments at The Tractor Shack, a bouncy castle and sandpit and of course, the vast PYO fields.

Millets Farm Centre

Kingston Road, Frilford, OX13 5HB

Get your baskets ready and explore over 50 acres of crops, and pick over 30 different fruits and vegetables, at Millets Farm Centre this summer. A lot of the softer fruits including strawberries, raspberries and blackcurrants are kept in poly-tunnels; perfect for fruit picking on a miserable day.

Need to know: There’s a £2 entry for access to the PYO fields which is redeemable against fruit picked and purchased. PYO is open from 8am and last entry is 5pm. Click here to see the fruit and vegetables available each month.

Wotton Farm Shop

Bradley Road, Wotton-under-Edge, GL12 7DT

Wotton Farm Shop are renowned for their fantastic selection of home grown produce and locally sourced fare. However, did you know that you can also pick your own fruit and vegetables there? Gooseberries and strawberries are available throughout June, while visitors can enjoy picking raspberries, blackcurrants, redcurrants and broad beans during July.

Need to know: Wotton Farm Shop is open daily; Monday to Saturday 9am to 5.30pm and Sunday and Bank Holidays 10am to 4pm. Updates on the PYO availability can be found here.
