Cotswold Life Food & Drink Awards: Food Product of the Year Award

Archant

It’s hardly surprising that there’s such good food coming out the Cotswolds - the entire region is stuffed full of beautiful local ingredients, and there’s a real passion for creating good, honest food. Despite the multitude of delicious products on offer, there is one that has shown itself to be a cut above the rest...

The Cotswold Life Food & Drink Awards are one of the biggest events in the local calendar and it is hugely anticipated by the region’s food and drink industry all year round.

We champion the best local producers, suppliers and businesses that are passionate about the Cotswold countryside and the future of our local environment.

Thanks to both the nominations of the public and our well-respected judges, we have picked a winner worthy of the ‘Food Product of the Year Award’, sponsored by the Royal Three Counties Show.

This year’s finalists

Cotswold Butter, Cotswold Butter Co., Broadway

Cotswold Butter is produced using local cream and was described by judges as being very rich and creamy in taste. They commended the clear, informative packaging and noted that the butter is available in many local retailers.

Jess’s Ladies Organic Farm Milk, Jess’s Ladies, Hardwicke

Jess’s Ladies Organic Farm milk was descried as being a very high quality dairy product. They praised the labelling having a real feminine touch – fitting with the brand name and the great ethos of the product.

And the winner is...

Gluten Free Sticky Lemon Pudding, The Cotswold Pudding, Poulton

Judges praised Gluten Free Sticky Lemon Pudding for catering for a dietary need without compromise on fantastic taste. Judges also commented that the reasonably long shelf life and the ability to freeze make it very convenient for the customer.
