Award winning chefs, Ross and Ross launch a Crowdfunding campaign to raise £10k to introduce their online food store.

Award winning chefs, Ross Bearman and Ross Whitmill of Ross & Ross Food have launched a crowdfunding campaign looking to raise £10,000 to get their online food store up and running.

The £10,000 raised through will be used to fund the design and upkeep of the web store, promotion, marketing, stock and packaging.

Ross and Ross recently became the Midland Street Food winners in the BBC Good Food Show and Finalists in the Cotswold Life Best Local Producer. The pair currently supply their award winning potted meats, cutting terrines and street food to a number of local retailers and the likes of Harrods and Harvey Nichols.

Ross Bearman, co-founder of Ross & Ross Food, said: “We are both really passionate about food and supporting local producers, the economy and our community. Our crowdfunding campaign will allow us to launch our online food store – something we are really excited about.

“We are hoping by offering all our backers great rewards this will help us build a really supportive community.”

Crowdfunder enables people with a great business idea to ask the crowd closest to them for the funding they need to set up or expand. The business sets a target for the money it wants to raise and explains how it will use the funding. People can then make pledges for small amounts of money in return for a reward if the target is reached.

Phil Geraghty, Crowdfunder MD, said: “It’s really exciting to be working with such a great project that is supporting local producers and the local economy. Crowdfunding is a really great way of getting loads of people involved in a project and I am really excited to help Ross and Ross Food on their journey.”

In as little as 45 days, Ross and Ross are looking to raise £10,000 to launch their online food store. They cannot do this without the help of their local community.

Between them Ross and Ross have over 30 years’ worth of experience in the food industry. The pair met whilst opening two gastro style pubs for the Peach Pubs Company, an exciting and innovative food company. As well as spending time as head chef at one of Peach Pubs Ross Whitall has worked alongside Raymond Blanc at Le Petit Blanc. Their crowdfunding campaign will allow the pair to develop their business and move forward in the food industry.
