Why autumn and winter is the best time to declutter your home and workspace

Home life

Autumn and winter are often the busiest times of year for most people. And, with Christmas creeping up quickly this only adds to the pressure which leaves most of my clients feeling overwhelmed and disorganised - this is where I come in to relieve a lot of that strain. This is a process which is particularly important during the autumn and winter seasons as we’re all likely to be spending more time in our homes.

Our lives are increasingly busy with work, school runs, hobbies, and social events. To add to that, at some point you will experience changes in circumstances to your environment. You may have had a new addition to the family, children left home, moved in with a partner, or, sadly, lost a family member? Regardless of how organised you are as an individual these outside influences will all have an impact on your daily routine – so, the time that you normally would have set aside to maintain balance in your home life and tackle that to do list has now been filled with more important things.

I can help to alleviate a lot of the stresses of the home by assisting you to organise all aspects of your life, leaving you to focus on yourself and to spend quality time with the people that matter to you the most, and doing the things which are most fulfilling to you.

It could be decluttering a room that has slowly filled up with junk, advising on storage solutions, creating a filing system to manage piles of paperwork that you never manage to sort, or planning an event that you don’t have time to arrange - my aim is to create a calm and cozy environment in your home, which is clutter free, and therefore a space in which you can relax and unwind.

Work life

If you are self-employed or have recently set up your own business and feel that you need some help when it comes to organisation then I offer a bespoke service; from one-off projects, such as helping you tackle that to do list you have been putting off for months, to setting up new offices or work space, to decluttering your office space, planning events, to regular Personal Assistant duties. This service enables you to have the benefits of a PA but without having to provide a full-time, annual salary - which is a cost-effective solution for any small business.

Working and living in a decluttered environment and being in a better organised space will leave you with more time to focus on the important things, so whether you feel you can tackle it yourself or need some help, I can guarantee that it will leave you feeling less stressed, happier and liberated.
