Have you checked the apprenticeship vacancies website recently? Gloucestershire College is currently advertising 40+ live apprenticeship vacancies on www.apprenticeships.org.uk, available in locations across the county including Cheltenham, Gloucester, Tewkesbury, and the Forest of Dean.

Following on from their recent attendance at Skills Fest on 5th March at Gloucester Rugby club, the college is promoting an apprenticeship offer to local businesses where, for every apprentice aged 16-24 that is taken on, the college will waiver the fee for you to recruit another apprentice over the age of 25. Suitable apprenticeship frameworks selected by local businesses might be in team leading or management.

As well as a large number of vacancies in traditional apprenticeship areas, including catering, business administration, sales and health and social care, the College is currently advertising to fill a number of specialist vacancies, including a Customer Service Support Worker with St Georges Association, Apprentice Receptionist with Berkeley Surgery, Accounts Assistant with Keen Thinking Ltd and Proactive IT Engineer Apprentice with Module IT Limited.

The College, who are proud to be the Inaugural Gloucestershire Apprenticeship Training Provider of the Year 2012, is currently working with 1,000 apprentices for the first time and is encouraging young people to sign up to the apprenticeship vacancy website in order to get started in their future careers.

Sylvia Bullock, executive director for Business Development at Gloucestershire College said; Its fantastic that over 250 people have already signed up for the apprenticeship vacancy service. Gloucestershire College advertises all of our apprenticeship vacancies on the website, and we encourage young people to sign up and take a look at what is available.

I would also encourage potential employers to take a look at the breadth of apprenticeship frameworks that are available and to consider employing an apprentice in every aspect of their businesses. At the moment, for every 16-24 year old apprentice a company takes on, we will offer an apprenticeship to somebody aged 24+ to be put on an apprenticeship at no extra charge. Call our dedicated GC business consultants to find out more.

For more information on the range of apprenticeships available with Gloucestershire College, or to find out more about the free additional apprenticeship for those aged 25+, please contact the GC Business Hub team on 01452 563400 and quote '25+.
