Gloucester Root, Fruit and Grain Society sets date for AGM

The agricultural society will hold its Annual General Meeting on Monday January 29 at Olympus House in Quedgeley
Starting at 6pm, Gloucester Root, Fruit and Grain Society’s meeting will include election of the President, Chairman, Vice Chairman, Competitions Officer, Sponsorship Officer and Secretary/Treasurer and a further 10 members.
A very short committee meeting will follow the AGM to deal with the 2018 schedule of competitions and events.
A Discussion Evening will be held at 6pm on Thursday February 22 at Hartpury College. Speakers will be Stroud MP David Drew, John Chinn from Cobrey Farms on Crop Health and Protection and Catherine McLaughlin, Chief Advisor (Animal Health and Welfare) at the NFU.
The GRFGS was established in 1863 to ‘promote excellence through competition’.
