From absurd obstacle courses to GCHQ-style code-cracking challenges and competitive cookery, there are 400 acres of rolling Cotswold countryside to play in on the Farncombe Estate

Thanks to a partnership with Nottingham-based events company Off Limits, which has 20 years’ experience in the field, the Farncombe Estate has devised a series of fun-packed outdoor activities and corporate team building packages.

How about It’s a Knockout with giant penguin costumes, wacky races and weird and wonderful inflatables?

Or if your office is full of 90s kids, there’s a Crystal Maze-style challenge with impossible puzzles, cryptic clues and physical and mental challenges.

Budding bakers will lap up the Bake Off Challenge, as the estate’s answer to Paul Hollywood banishes soggy bottoms and cooks up a storm in the kitchen.

For I’m a Celebrity Fans, there’s the chance to get stuck into a madcap Jungle Challenge; The Picasso Picture Show challenges you to repaint a masterpiece from memory and there’s a Movie Making day where you get to recreate a classic cinema scene.

For adrenaline junkies and petrol heads, there’s a high-octane Soapbox Derby, where you build your own roadster from scratch and race them in Robot Wars-meet-Wacky-Races heats.

“At Farncombe, there’s a 400-acre playground and we’ll help you make the most of it,” said a spokesman for the estate, near Broadway, which was once home to G4S and is now counts the elusive use Foxhill Manor as well as the uber-contemporary Fish and luxury Dormy House hotels among its stable.

“Why confine yourselves to one event when you can cram several into one day?

“We can combine elements of different activities and host of country sports to create a bespoke, challenging and fun day of fierce, but friendly, competition in the great outdoors.

“We’ve got pulse-racing teambuilding events and corporate away-days you won’t forget.”

It is the highest town in Oxfordshire, was once a major industrial hive for wool and tweed, took part in the rather bizarre ritual of wife selling in the mid 19th century and is home to the ‘Aspirin Man’.
