Domestic Appliance Distributors (DAD) receives Sirius ‘Distributor of the Year’ award 2016

D.A.D is a major distributor of domestic appliances and consumer electronic goods throughout the UK headquarterd in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire has been named Sirus Distributor of the Year for 2016

The company that operates from a large, 200,000 sq ft modern warehouse in Tewkesbury is part of the Gillman Group. D.A.D founder and managing director Adrian Gillman said: “Our long-standing partnership with the Sirius Buying Group provides an integral framework for the success of the relationship between the two groups.

“D.A.D continues to move boundaries with their performance in 2016, during which they surpassed expectations for domestic appliance sales in what is a very competitive marketplace. The highly experienced team at DAD are totally committed to sales and service and this, combined with their keen understanding of customers’ needs, has contributed to winning this well-deserved accolade.”

Mr Gillman added: “Receiving the Distributor of the Year Award is certainly a great honour for the entire D.A.D sales and distribution organisation.

One of the company’s key strengths is its dedicated staff, whose teamwork has played a major part in the success story for D.A.D, culminating in winning this award.”

The Gillman family has been in the electrical and gas appliance business for over 40 years and D.A.D. now the biggest element of their business, was formed in 1992 after the family identified the need to give independent retailers an improved and more efficient service. The continued successful development and growth of D.A.D. is due to the company’s flexibility, product knowledge, and understanding of the industry. Ongoing successful relationships with major manufacturers, enables them to give their customers the best possible service and the most competitive prices within this fast and ever-changing industry.
