Growth at sustainable lighting specialists LPA has seen it agree a 10-year lease on industrial accommodation at Blacklands Way. The company, which has taken 4,700 sq. ft. of space at £9 per sq. ft., is looking to expand its eight-strong workforce further with additions to the design and project management teams as well as increasing stock levels to ensure faster turnaround for customers in retail and hospitality.

Multi-disciplinary transport planning and civil engineering consultancy Paul Basham has taken 1,189 sq. ft. of offices in Hitching Court on a 5-year lease at £17.50 per sq. ft. The company is set to relocate from its current base in Oxford.

Abingdon Business Park is owned by Rockspring Property Investment Managers LLP, a Patrizia company, with XLB appointed as asset and development management partner.

Kim Sardar, Director at Rockspring, said: “It is fantastic to welcome a variety of new businesses to Abingdon Business Park which shows the diverse appeal of the Park. These lettings are excellent examples of the hive of activity within Oxfordshire. Furthermore, it justifies our decision to proceed with the major refurbishment of the business units.”

Abingdon Business Park now only has two refurbished office units available totaling 3,500 sq. ft. A speculative 50,000 sq. ft. industrial development, Foxcombe, reached Practical Completion in May 2018, together with the pre-existing accommodation these can cater for R&D industrial requirements from 2,000 sq. ft. upwards.

Abingdon Business Park is a 50-acre mixed-use scheme comprising 415,000 sq. ft. of office, R&D and industrial property set in the heart of Oxfordshire’s economic and knowledge corridor, located within half a mile of both the A34 and Abingdon town centre. The secure site benefits from 24-hour security and an on-site park management team and is home to over 35 businesses employing over 2,300 people.
