Richard Haddon and partner Michiel Verkoren bought The Swan Inn, Ascott under Wychwood, Oxfordshire, which was closed for over three years and re-opened last summer, held a special event to celebrate the opening of the pubs new function room. The business has had a wealth of support from both its bank, Santander, and also from quite a unique business investment from a group of supporters from the local community. The group who had so much support for the re-opening of the Inn requested to purchase minor shares into the business to try to ensure the success of its future. This venture shows great community spirit.

The official opening was attended by a surprise special guest, the Prime Minister and MP for the Witney Constituency, David Cameron, who addressed the guests at the opening.
