£40m ‘landmark’ for Worcestershire.Business.Central

Over the last two years Worcestershire.Business.Central, part of the National Growth Hub Network, has delivered £40m of business investment into the county, through its diverse range of business support programmes.
This landmark figure of £40m – which consists of local public sector investment, Central Government investment, European funding and private sector investment – represents an incredible achievement for Worcestershire.Business.Central.
Recently, new figures published by the Office of National Statistics (ONS) revealed that Worcestershire’s economy has been the third fastest growing in the country.
Working with our partners – including District Councils and our Local Enterprise Partnership – has enabled us to provide business support and share the many success stories of local businesses that Worcestershire.Business.Central have been able to help and support through our wide range of programmes. Accompanying this release are just some of those case studies.
Between 2008 and 2013 the county’s economy grew by 16.82 per cent.
